Housed out of Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA, as an off-shoot of the Seattle Primary Care Track in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, University of Washington.
Mission: To provide training to medical residents in areas of medical outreach, serving marginalized and needy populations. An attempt would be made to integrate principles of Mindfulness-Based Medicine into these pursuits. Training would include Addiction Medicine, Prison Medicine, Homeless Health Care, Palliative Medicine & Hospice– i.e populations that have high medical needs, limited access to health care and that are typically neglected and/or warehoused by society.
