Hi Mark, We met at Shambhala and I used to visit your site. I had once been invited to Poly Clinic to offer mindfulness based (stuff) for staff and possibly patients. I'd love to talk. I'm glad to see the site is still active. I'm about to spread the word.

Warmly, Mia

Thank you. Finally a place/site integrating my two essential
practices....Medicine and Buddhism. This hasn't happened
since I was the doctor at a Tibetan Monastery & Tibetan
Refugee Resettlement area.

For me, this is Integrative Medicine.

Thank you,
Rona Lieberman,MD

Hello, Great discussion.

I am the founder of Acupuncture Ambassadors (www.acupunctureambassadors.org). At present we are helping a group called Moxafrica.org They are doing a Phase II study using moxibustion for TB and HIV. I know that is research will transform the work of medical practitioners to fight TB worldwide.

I would be very interested in working with all groups including other Acupuncture groups to help people in Tibet. Let me know what we may be able to do together.
Thank you.
Best regards, Anthony

Hello! Very recently have I began reading about mindfulness and meditation, and although without seeking professional opinion, I have already identified that should I enroll in a meditation course, I will be unable to focus. As I learn more from books and blogs (like this one) I tend to think that I have been living life mindlessly, doing things merely because it has been my routine for my whole life. I seriously am considering going into a meditation class, changing my perspective in life and being aware of myself and the life I am living. I have always had questioned whether I will be able to attain the state of “inner peace” by being mindful, but I guess I wouldn’t really know until I try. I do hope I will be able to be fully aware, “mindful” of myself. I just need to know the first step.

dearest mark,
i hope you are doing well. what a blessing to find your website! it is such a rich compliation of all the research and thoughtful work out there about mindfulness and healthcare.

my name is juliet hwang and i am pediatrician in los angeles. i have been incorporating mindfulness in my clinic practice for the past several years. it works especially well for children with psychosomatic problems, anxiety, headaches, etc. i am also teaching a mindfulness meditation group for homeless men and women in recovery at a local non profit organization. that is one of the most fulfilling things i have ever done.

i am giving a presentation at a conference this weekend in baltimore to help bring mindfulness to health care providers. i think it's important to take the time and nourish ourselves while we are working.

thank you for nourishing my seeds of joy and happiness in the practice.

a lotus to you,
juliet hwang
